Markus Schulz OPEN 2 CLOSE is a project that for the first time in this formula was realized in Poland precisely by PMG Group. On August 26, 2022, the Wrocław club Studio P7 became the venue for an exceptional, eight-hour performance by one of the greatest figures on the world trance scene.
Markus Schulz, three times honored with the title America's Best DJ, producer, DJ and owner of Coldharbour Recordings, for eight hours independently guided the audience through successive stages of a musical journey. From melodic and progressive trance, through classic sounds of the genre, to techno – the OPEN 2 CLOSE formula allowed experiencing the full spectrum of his musical vision.
It was not another club booking. It was the introduction to Poland of an international format that allowed the artist to present himself in a much wider and more authorial formula than during a standard festival or club performance.
KEY MOMENTS
The first Polish edition of OPEN 2 CLOSE ended SOLD OUT, confirming huge interest in the format and the artist himself. The event resonated widely in the trance music community, and media described it as, among other things, "world phenomenon", "musical extravaganza" and the return of one of the genre's legends.
The success of the first edition led to the realization of another event. September 29, 2023 Markus Schulz appeared in Wrocław again, this time at the X-Demon club, continuing the OPEN 2 CLOSE format and building its position on the Polish club scene.
EFFECT
OPEN 2 CLOSE with Markus Schulz became one of those projects that go beyond the standard definition of a club event. Eight hours of one artist, full control over the musical narrative and an audience that stayed with him throughout the journey, created an experience of a completely different character than a classic DJ performance.
For PMG Group, this is a project that showed that the right format, artist and way of presenting him can create an event that becomes part of the history of a specific music scene.
